Here some of the featured events in the area to check out this weekend.

Apalachin Fireman’s Field Days
Features midway, games and food. Fireworks Friday at 10pm, parade on Saturday at 6pm. Free admission. Tickets needed for rides.

Vestal Festival 2008
Street fair with food, crafts and vendors. Festivies begin on Friday at 7pm with a parade on Front St. Bed and bath tub races start at 7:30pm.

First Friday Art Walk
The monthly First Friday event, hosted by the Gorgeous Washington Street Association. 6-9pm at over 40 downtown sites.

Catfish Derby
All night catch and release derby. Starts Saturday at 7am and runs through noon on Sunday. Hickories Park in Owego.
